Understanding the Iceberg

What is an iceberg?

Eisberg is a tool that helps teachers conduct structured and meaningful learning and coaching conversations. It accompanies every step of the process – from preparation and the conversation itself to follow-up and communication with parents.

Who is Iceberg for?

For educators conducting learning and coaching sessions, and for schools that wish to develop a common culture of conversation. School-based occupational therapy and school social work can accompany individual learners as guest participants.

How does an iceberg work?

You record what you notice and Eisberg suggests appropriate questions. In the conversation, it transcribes in the background, after which summary, next steps, and parental information are created. Over several conversations, goals and competencies remain linked. To the product

Do I need to prepare before every conversation?

A few sentences on your observation are enough. Eisberg will provide the structure of the conversation and the appropriate questions.

Does Eisberg replace my way of teaching?

No. Eisberg provides a framework for the conversation and supplies questions. How you lead is up to you.

Start and discovery phase

How does the free trial period work?

You get access to the explorer area with an introductory video and all materials. When you are ready, you start your two months and work with two learners. There are no costs, you do not need to enter payment details, and you do not need to cancel.

How long until I can start?

After filling out the form, you will receive access by email. The introductory video takes a good half hour, after which you can prepare your first conversation.

Do I need school approval to use Iceberg?

Generally not for the discovery phase. What is important is parental consent, which Eisberg collects when creating a profile. If your school is supposed to cover the costs, we have prepared a letter and information for the school administration.

What do I get with a license?

Iceberg for a teacher and a class, plus onboarding webinar, regular live webinars with experts, exchange with other teachers and technical support. Iceberg Plus additionally includes the professional development area of Pädagogik+ as well as an introductory meeting and four 1:1 reflection sessions per year. Overview

Privacy Policy

Is the conversation being recorded?

Yes. Eisberg records the conversation and transcribes it so you don't have to take notes at the same time. Details on storage can be found in the privacy policy.

Is Eisberg GDPR-compliant?

Yes. Eisberg operates in accordance with the GDPR, with zero retention and servers in the EU.

Can parents access the app?

After the meeting, parents receive a structured summary by email in their preferred language. The teacher reviews and approves it. Responsibility and control thus remain with the teacher.

In everyday life

Does that make my daily routine more complex?

On the contrary. Notes, summaries, and parent information are generated automatically. What used to mean up to an hour of documentation after each conversation is reduced to just a few minutes.

Can I use iceberg in different languages?

The parent email is created in the parents' preferred language. We will add which languages the app itself supports here.

What sets Eisberg apart from other tools?

Eisberg is not documentation software, but rather accompanies the conversation itself. The questions were developed by certified learning coaches and educational therapists, the goal-setting work is based on the WOOP method, and development remains visible across multiple conversations. Added to this is the personal support provided by the Pedagogy+ team. To the product
